It is a union of body and mind through Indian classical dance.
Indian dance is three dimensional – Veda (knowledge), Sastra (science) and Kala
(art).
Yoga Dance will help you acquire knowledge as well as gaining a healthy
co-ordination of the body and mind. This will increase your level of
consciousness and bliss.
Hence, a person learning dance not only acquires knowledge but also gains a
healthy co-ordination of the mind & body which in turn raises you to a
higher level of consciousness and bliss.
The Indian dance involves a variety of foot work which improves balance and
strengthens the legs. It also involves a wide range of hand movements,
lower back movement, hip movement which improves stamina and flexibility.
The specialty of Indian dance is its involvement of a lot of eye movement in
co-ordination with hand work, which improves concentration. This is a
total involvement experience.
The various speeds at which the dance is practiced emphasize the cardio
aspects of the body.
